You certainly love your children; however, are you paying close attention to the living habits you are teaching them? Are you seriously concerned about what they eat, drink, breathe, and touch?

In an environment that is pH balanced, the immune system remains strong and disease can’t get in. If your pH is acidic, your immune system becomes weaker, making your body vulnerable to illness. When you or your kids get sick, it is because of the unhealthy habits and bad choices we incur in.

In order to ensure your kids grow up healthy and strong, pay attention to these tips and reinforce them both at home and away from it:

1. Free their bodies of toxins
Our bodies are capable of healing and cleaning themselves as long as our immune system is healthy. Today’s environment is plagued with toxins, chemicals, and pesticides that are ingested by your children in the foods they eat, the air they breathe, and the things they touch. Nowadays, in order to be completely healthy, we have to attack the problem from the root; otherwise, we will be only treating symptoms. Kids should exercise regularly and must have healthy sleep schedules. They should not be exposed to stress, should learn about personal hygiene care, and should get regular spinal adjustments to improve their health as they grow. You may know about all this, but it is time you put it to practice.

2. Teach them to eat healthy foods and get them away from junk foods
What you feed your kids determines their health to a great extent. Healthy food will keep their cells vigorous and their immune system strong; it will energize them and give them all the nutrients they need to enjoy perfect health. Sadly, our society has bombarded your children with the promise of endless fun and excitement through highly processed and fast foods that have no nutritional value and are loaded with refined sugars and grains, chemicals, additives, and preservatives, not to mention the ones loaded with antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides, artificial ingredients, and heavy metals. This junk tastes good, but gives no energy and doesn’t nourish their cells to help them work efficiently. On the other hand, foods like organic fruits and vegetables, whole grains such as brown rice, millet, buckwheat, and oats, provide many vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

3. Teach them healthy habits to prevent disease
Our bodies are composed of 80% water. This liquid is indispensable to prevent sickness and to heal the body. Water carries crucial elements, oxygen, hormones, and chemical messengers throughout the body, and it greatly improves digestion, the absorption of nutrients, skin hydration, and cleansing of the body, boosting its health. It’s the ultimate detox cleanser! In other words, many diseases can be prevented by learning the habit of drinking lots of water; for example, headaches, hypertension, ulcers, morning sickness, back pain, asthma, fatigue, and slow metabolism, are just some of the aches and illnesses that can be improved or even disappear by keeping the body well hydrated.

By teaching your kids healthy habits, you are making sure their energy stays intact; however, this is just the beginning. These tips work in terms of prevention, so, the earlier you enforce them, the better the quality of life your kids will experience. Even if it means a drastic change of habit, your kids’ health is worth it.

People who have weight problems and are starting to shed some fats are worrying about what is the best healthy diet for weight loss. Are they eating enough protein? Are they taking high calorie foods? Is this wrong for me, or is that bad for me? With all the books scattered around it’s hard to tell what’s correct and what’s wrong. Below we will give you a few simple tips that you can use for your weight loss diet. We have to be reminded always that food should be enjoyed. Without overindulging or eating too much of a bad thing you should be able to enjoy your meals.

Traditionally, there are three basic approaches to weight loss through nutritional supplementation. The first is the use of diuretic herbs and nutrients to reduce water retention. The second is the use of lipotropic vitamins, which have the ability to reduce cholesterol and fat. Third is the use of natural appetite suppressants. Permanent weight loss, however, requires a lifetime commitment to a healthier lifestyle in general. . Let us now proceed to some of our recommended tips.

1. Always eat breakfast. It jump-starts the metabolism at the beginning of the day. Eat small but nutrient-dense meals every three to four hours throughout the day to keep your metabolism stable, to maintain a full feeling, to avoid wide swings in blood sugar. Good choices might include a 2-ounce portion of protein food (beans, an egg, poultry) with ½ cup of fresh salad dressed with apple cider vinegar, or ½ cup of a steamed vegetable with some type of grain (1/2 cup brown rice or a piece of whole-or multigrain bread).

2. Don’t skip meals. This only intensifies hunger and food cravings.

3. Make your main meal lunch, not dinner. Some people have had excellent results consuming no food after 3pm.

4. At meals, put less food on your plate. Chew slowly. Stop eating as soon as you no longer hungry don’t wait until you feel full.

5. Eat foods raw, if possible. If foods are heated, they should be baked, broiled, steamed, or boiled. Never consume fried or greasy foods.

6. Consume the following foods in moderation: apples, brown rice, buckwheat, chestnuts, corn, grapes, oatmeal, white potatoes, and yellow vegetables. These foods contain small amounts of essential fatty acids, but they should not be overused.

7. Eat more complex carbohydrates that also offer protein, such as tofu, lentils, plain baked potatoes no toppings, except for vegetables sesame seeds, beans, brown rice, whole grains, skinless turkey or chicken breast, and white fish no shellfish. Poultry and fish should be broiled or baked, never fried.

Finally, see to it that your choices of meals are base on a program that will lead to weight loss and be sure to drink 4 to 6liters of water daily and also incorporate exercise in your daily routine. You don’t have to force yourselves to incorporate these tips into your daily routine right away, start slow and learn to adapt them. The best healthy diet for weight loss is all about practicing the right diet. So how do you lose weight?

The number one recommended program is to use a well-structured weight loss program (Strip That Fat Program) that you can easily follow day by day. It is already proven that a balanced diet, exercise, together with your goal to loss weight is a great way to be healthier lifestyle.

Many parents feel having trouble with healthy foods and healthy eating habits in their children. Not all children like healthy foods. Often we find a child who will not eat vegetables, fruits, or fish. Actually, the first must be recognized by the parents is that parents need to adjust the amount of nutrients that are consumed by their children for nutritional needs of each child is different. There are at least minimum standards that must be consumed for the child is fat, protein and carbohydrates. These nutrients can be obtained from the variety of foods consumed. Fat consumption to 30% of the total energy in a day is needed to absorb important vitamins such as A, D, E, and K.

Parents should not be afraid to give fat intake in children as long as the recommended portion. This is because children are individuals who are still growing physically and emotionally so that required different types of food composition.

Parents are expected to avoid the habit of unhealthy eating. Avoid giving unhealthy foods like junk food. In addition to the cooking process is not mature, junk food has a high salt content and various other chemicals such as preservatives, colorings, and artificial sweeteners. In fact, the habit of eating unhealthy foods has the potential to cause serious diseases such as cancer, obesity, cholesterol, stroke, gout, allergies or diabetes.

Establishing healthy eating to children, introduces healthy foods, as well as teaches children to make healthy food, indirectly create richer insight into the child. He knew what healthy foods to choose and where unhealthy foods to avoid

Healthy Eating Habits for Children, What should parent do?

Psychologically, eating behavior arises because children imitate the eating habits of other family members. For example, parents who like sweet foods will make the children fan of sweet foods as well. Habits of parents wash their hands before eating; will also be imitated by children.

In providing optimal nutrition for children, the mother of creativity is required. Therefore, mothers should adjust the intake of good nutrition for children, including quite understand how to deal with children when they do not want to eat.

As the process of learning, healthy eating habits provide many benefits to children, including self-confidence. Since childhood, children begin to learn to hold his own spoon, scoop the food, and sat in his chair (each time to be fed). Provide opportunities to the preschoolers to determine or choose the desired own food. At school age, cooking activities will also enhance self-esteem of children. Children become more proud when they can make their own healthy food. Also parents should also be more creative in serving healthy food for children.

What used to eat children today, will determine future health. Because of that, make it a habit to create healthy eating habits and give children a nutritious meal. Teach children to avoid unhealthy foods. Get used to read the composition of foods listed on the packaging. This can also be taught to children of school age, when he bought his own food that will consume.

Coffee has been a drink that people consume everyday, especially during breakfast. There are many negative reports on consuming coffee mainly due to its caffeine. A study reported in the Archives of Internal medicine that there is a link between drinking coffee and a reduced risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Nevertheless, it is still not clear that whether the protective effect is due caffeine or other ingredients presented in coffee.

Diabetes has been considered a risk factor of heart disease, and Type 2 diabetes develops when pancreas does not make enough insulin or when insulin cannot be used by the body properly. Insulin is a hormone that converts sugars into energy. This form of diabetes is commonly found among people aged 40 and above, especially those overweight and physically inactive.

The study, conducted by the University of Minnesota, examined over 28,000 postmenopausal women over a period of 11 years (1986 -1997). Women who drank more than 6 cups of coffee per day were less likely to be diagnosed with diabetes. Those who drank decaffeinated coffee showed a further reduced risk.

Questions were answered by these women about risk factors for diabetes, and details given about their lifestyle and beverage consumption (including regular and decaffeinated coffee). After adjusting the data for other risk factors for diabetes, it was found that women who drank more than 6 cups of any type of coffee daily were 22 percent less likely to be diagnosed with diabetes than non-coffee drinkers. Those who drank more than 6 cups of decaffeinated coffee per day had a 33-percent reduced risk.

The overall intake of caffeine did not appear to be related to diabetes risk, suggesting that another ingredient in coffee might have contributed to the effect. The researchers suggested that magnesium, and other minerals and nutrients found in coffee bean such as polyphone’s and antioxidants, may be responsible for this beneficial effect. However, further studies are required to ascertain this.

Other experts expressed some concerns about this study. Firstly, the participants were only limited to postmenopausal women and so are not representative of the population. Secondly, there is no objective measure to ensure that the reported diet or incidence of diabetes were accurate because data were collected from self-administrative questionnaires. Thirdly, there are many kinds of foods containing hundreds of different phytochemicals and antioxidants. It may not be appropriate to simply rely on any single food to obtain these nutrients. Finally, taking too much coffee can cause side effects. More than 3 cups of coffee a day can cause nervousness, stomach distress, insomnia, and for some people, irregular heartbeat.

While awaiting further research confirmation about the beneficial effect of drinking coffee, people with diabetes, however, still need to maintain healthy eating habits, regular physical activity, and more importantly, maintain a healthy body weight?

Eating food for healthy skin is a great choice. It’s good for the rest of your body, too. But, you should also be aware of the value of a good skincare cream. If it contains the right ingredients, it can provide “direct” nourishment.

The skin’s outer layers are composed completely of dead keratinized cells. They are produced by stem cells, located within the dermis layer, along with the melanocytes (produce the pigment melanin in response to sun exposure) and the elastic fibers.

When we are young, the stem cells are producing 24 hours a day. The entire outer layer (called the epidermis) is replaced in four weeks or less. Thousands of dead cells are sloughed off every day, as new ones make their way to the surface. As we get older, all of that slows down.

Since, the cells in the epidermis are dead; you might think that they don’t need nourishment. But, in order to provide protection for the deeper layers and the inner body, which is their purpose; they need all of the nutrients found in the foods used for healthy skin.

There are no blood vessels in the epidermis. So, it gets its nutrition through a process called diffusion. The nutrients are “passed up” from the deeper layers. As you might think, that process is somewhat inefficient and becomes even less efficient with age. So, the purpose of a nourishing skincare cream is to supplement what makes its way up from below.

Any nutritional deficit will lead to problems with the skin’s health or appearance. Essential fatty acid deficiency causes dryness and flakiness. Vitamin C deficiency causes weakened fibers, sagging, easy bruising and bleeding. But, if there is a protein deficiency in your diet, the normal replacement of the epidermis cannot be accomplished.

One food for healthy skin that is recommended by popular diet doctors is salmon. There is even one dermatologist that says eating it every day will reduce wrinkles. Who knows whether or not that’s true. But, there is one thing that we know for sure. Salmon is a good source of protein, essential fatty acids and several antioxidants.

When it comes to providing direct nourishment, antioxidants are a must. All skincare creams should contain them. Many of them do, but few contain a high enough quantity to be effective.

Some of the most potent antioxidants are not present in the basic foods for healthy skin. For example, coenzyme Q10 is a very important antioxidant that is quickly depleted by overexposure to sunlight, one of the causes of wrinkles, sagging and other signs of age. However, coenzyme Q10 is not present in things that most people eat. The highest concentrations are found in heart and other organ meats.

Luckily, we don’t have to eat those things. We can take a good supplement that contains COQ10 and there are excellent skincare creams that contain it. Studies have shown that use of COQ10 creams repairs sun damage, reverses wrinkles, reduces roughness and improves the skin’s moisture content. Those are things that food for healthy skin might do, over time. But, a good cream will do it in no time.

Healthy mind rests in healthy body. Yes, this is a proven saying that if you have a fit and balanced body then only you will be at the charm and peace of your mind. To lose weight or shed off those extra pounds of fat, it is not at all necessary that one has to go on dieting and later starving, but, it actually means intaking a healthy and balanced diet, that contains sufficient amounts of all the nutrients required by us. As none of a single food is suffice of fulfilling all our requirements so, one should take a good variety of diet from across all the food groups, according to our daily needs and age. Different types of foodstuffs when taken together provide us with vitamins, minerals, salts, proteins, fibers etc. For maintaining a good and healthy body, one has to make a very wise choice regarding the food to be eaten and should also consume it with a happy mind.

Now lets schedule our menu for the most important plates of our day. After fasting for the whole night of about 6- 7 hours our body becomes almost empty. At this point of time we need to break up our fast and reenergize ourselves with a meal called as breakfast. But people with an intention to lose weight have a very fake belief that skipping their breakfasts will make them slim. Instead it will make you thaw on the next meal that you will take and you will probably do overeating and will finally end up putting on much more weight. But rightly saying one should take a very healthy breakfast and then if you are not in a mood you may skip the lunch.

Do not skip meals:

A nutritious breakfast comprises of stuffs like skimmed milk or yoghurt, boiled egg, cereals and oats, roasted and baked grain cookies, popcorn and of course fruits which are alone even more than enough to give you a delicious breakfast or lunch. People always give the excuse of running short of time for skipping their meals, but it is not so. In 10 minutes you can get yourself a sandwich of whole grain bread, with lots of tomatoes and cucumbers inside alongwith cheese or yoghurt instead of jellies and butter.

You can also have a ready to eat bowl of cereals or oat dipped in low fat, skimmed milk with fruits of your choice on the top. You can also do some preparation from last night like boiled eggs, sprouts or pulses etc. that will give you strength from within. Even for kids you can give a bowl of cut carrots, cucumbers, bananas or apples dipped in yoghurt or cream, which will be really worth.

There is a whole range of fruits like apples, avocados, peaches oranges grapes watermelon etc. They can form 60% of our diet any time. Fruits like oranges; sweet lemons and grapes are very good for losing weight. Apples, apricots and bananas give us minerals, vitamins and strength from deep within. Watermelon and peaches are good for beauty and are more effective in summer. For dinner you can always look forward to soups and pulses along with roasted chicken or leafy vegetables, thus keeping you full and fresh.

The function of our colon is to absorb the remaining water and nutrients and to push the waste into our small intestine for elimination. In order to maintain good digestive health we need our colon working at its maximum efficiency. If this process is working at less than this it may result in constipation, gas, a loss of energy and fatigue. An important part of loosing weight is exercise and if you are always feeling run down this will cause your efforts to be less than what you had anticipated. If your digestive system is not working efficiently it also affects your overall heath because it affects other organ systems. It is possible for toxins and parasites to accumulate in your colon over time causing it to be less effective. This is why using a colon cleanse once or twice a year can have positive health benefits.

If you are considering colon cleansing be aware that there are basically two types. The first is by supplementation taken either orally or through the rectum and the second is a method called irrigation which involves a practitioner pushing water through the rectum. You may have heard this referred to as a high colonic. If you choose the second method be aware that most states have there own rules as to whether a practitioner needs to be licensed. You want to choose one that belongs to a national organization and follows the standards of that organization. It would be advisable for you to talk to your primary care provider for suggestions on whom they would recommend in your area.

Now lets look at some of the benefits that you can expect from a colon cleanse. Everyone experiences constipation from time to time this is a normal thing. It becomes a concern when it become chronic. Chronic is defined as more than 12 times per year. While chronic constipation is not a disease in itself, it may be an indication of an underlying problem. If you do experience chronic constipation it is a good idea to speak with your primary care provider. There are more than 2.5 million visits to the doctor’s office each year for constipation. If you feel that your particular situation does not require a doctor’s visit a colon cleanse may do wonders for you. Constipation over a prolonged period of time can lead to a condition called piles, this is when varicous veins form in the anus and can be quite uncomfortable and painful. By avoiding constipation you will also avoid piles.

We have all heard of acid reflux disease. We see ads on television daily for drugs that can cure this. Acid reflux disease is simply acids being forced up into your esophagus. This can be the cause of prolonged and severe heartburn. A colon cleanse can help bring your stomach back to a healthy state thus eliminating the problem.

We all know that when it comes to weight there are two types of people, those who constantly have a problem keeping there weight under control and those that can eat anything and not gain weight. My wife being an example of the second case. She amazes people with how much she eats but when she wanted to donate blood the Red Cross told her she did not weight enough. There are many weight loss programs and diets being advertised that promise to help us shed those unwanted pounds. Choosing one that works for you can be a tedious process of trial and error. One thing that a lot of people fail to realize is that if your digestive system is not functioning properly it probably does not matter which diet or program you spend your hard earned money on, it is probably not going to be effective. Any weight loss program needs to include three basic things, proper nutrition, a good exercise program and supplementation. If your digestive system is not functioning properly it can cause a state of fatigue. You will not be successful at the exercise portion of your program if you are always run down, therefore giving you less chance of success.
